Cacao: A Superfood for Body, Mind, and Spirit

Cacao is gaining recognition as a powerful superfood, and as a cacao practitioner, I’m thrilled to share why it’s so much more than just a treat!

I recently listened to episode #485 of Feel Better Live More, where Dr. Rangan Chatterjee interviewed Dr. William Li about the healing potential of food. He highlights cacao’s amazing benefits, from boosting circulation and enhancing heart and brain function to activating our body’s natural healing processes. Rich in polyphenols, cacao supports vascular health, reduces inflammation, and even helps protect our cells from aging.

What excites me most is cacao’s holistic benefits—it nurtures not only the body but also the mind and spirit. Whether enjoyed in ceremony or sipped with intention, ceremonial cacao opens the heart and fosters a deep connection with ourselves and others. It’s incredible that what indigenous cultures have known for centuries is now becoming more mainstream.
