Youth Mentoring &
Creative Coaching
I’m a qualified Art and Design Teacher and Transformational Coach, supporting young people of all ages both in the classroom and one-to-one. I work with students outside mainstream education, offering tailored academic support alongside compassionate mentoring to help them reconnect with their confidence, creativity and sense of self.
My approach is nurturing and non-clinical, providing teens aged 13 and over with a safe space to feel seen, supported and empowered. Through youth mentoring and creative coaching sessions, I help young people explore their emotions, build resilience and navigate life’s challenges. Whether they are experiencing anxiety, school-related stress, major transitions or simply feeling stuck, we work together using gentle and practical tools they can apply to everyday life.
Each session is bespoke, blending art-based reflection, emotional regulation techniques, mindset coaching and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). I meet each young person exactly where they are, with kindness, respect and encouragement so they feel grounded, capable and in control of their own journey.

“Helen has been a tutor and mentor for our daughter for nearly a year. She has not only provided amazing support for our daughter, but excellent communication with us as parents, providing advice and support when needed.
Her kind, non-judgemental manner, and her wealth of knowledge and experience as a teacher, as well as wellbeing practitioner, has meant our daughter has found a safe space to explore her feelings and learnt different strategies to help her cope better with life’s challenges.
It has been an incredible transformation to see our highly anxious and resistant teen, now open to and engaging in sessions and feeling positive and more confident about herself and her learning.
Helen is a highly skilled and adaptable professional who has been a real advocate, at a time when it felt like everything was against us. Our daughter wouldn’t be where she is today without her.”

£95 for 60 minutes (Zoom)
A flexible space for support, insight and emotional reset. Whether it’s a wobble at school, anxiety, overwhelm or simply needing to be heard, this one-off session provides a pause point and practical support.
It’s ideal if your young person:
Needs help navigating a specific challenge or transition
Would benefit from emotional tools and grounding techniques
Wants to explore mentoring before committing to a longer package
Needs a calm, external space to talk things through
Sessions are completely tailored to the individual and may include art-based reflection, EFT, somatic grounding or breathwork to support emotional clarity and calm.
Some find a single session enough to feel a shift. Others return when needed, or move into deeper work through a 6-session package.

Support with exams, study habits and mindset (if needed)
Sessions are warm, responsive and trauma-aware. This package is ideal for teens who haven’t found traditional support helpful or want something more personalised and empowering.

“I highly recommend Helen’s approach, which has yielded so much positive benefit compared with multiple encounters with CAMHS that left my daughter feeling misunderstood, unsupported and despondent. Helen mentored my daughter for 12 weeks in the run up to her GCSEs, supporting her with emotional regulation and managing anxiety by identifying and embedding essential habits that helped her build resilience and access a positive mindset in times of distress. We are hugely grateful to Helen as a family, she has made a huge difference”
